DIRECTOR'S NOTE FROM THE PLAYBILL

In producing Hadestown: Teen Edition, the goal was to capture the feel of the 2016 Off-Broadway production. The image of this large tree looming over the set was something I wanted to base the concept around. We set our production in an abandoned train station in the 1930's Dust Bowl Era, complete with a large box car that was our entrance to the Underworld.
